Review of the ZeroChroma VARIO-S for iPad
If you have an iPad, you are probably on the lookout for a suitable stand for it, as well as for a protective case. The ZeroChroma VARIO-S for iPad 1 claims to be the most intuitively designed case-stand combo for the iPad 1. Read on to see if it lives up to this claim.
Design and protection
The VARIO-S case is made of hard plastic. The four corners have rubbery bumpers to keep the iPad in place. The stand also has rubber tips to stop it from slipping on a smooth surface. The slim but sturdy stand fits neatly into the back of the case.
I did not need to use much pressure to snap the VARIO-S case on the back of my iPad 1. It clicked in tightly. I lifted my iPad 1 by the stand of the case, and I was impressed that my iPad 1 fit in the case so snugly that there was no risk of it slipping out.
The VARIO-S case protected the back of my iPad 1 very well. But , what about the screen? When the show is over and you are ready to put your iPad away, you are supposed to pull the device out of the VARIO-S, flip it around and put it back into the case with the screen face down. Getting it out from the case is a bit difficult. My iPad 1 fit so tightly within the case that I had to put some effort into forcing it out. But from there, putting my iPad 1 back into the case with the screen face down was a breeze. The case leaves the back of the device exposed while the hard plastic cover protects the screen. The rubberized plastic cover makes it easy to grip and hold. T he case did a good job of protecting my iPad 1's screen. When you are on the move, you can be sure that the VARIO-S case-stand combo will adequately protect your iPad 1 from damage.
