We listened to many different genres of music on this tiny mp3 player, including psychedelic rock, metal, pop, blues, alternative, and even bluegrass. The Kube2 has great sound output with deep bass and rich clarity, bringing out the best in all types of music.
The biggest drawback of the Kube2 is that you cannot create playlists on it. It does not allow you to download apps or use other common mp3 player features. If you are going to use the 512 MB storage, you may not need a playlist. However, since the Kube2 can use up to 32GB of storage space, the lack of a playlist function could be a problem. The iPod Shuffle supports playlists with iTunes.
Although the Kube2 looks cute and unique, it feels or may look a bit odd in pants or shirt pockets because of its shape.
The earphone design is another minor drawback. The earplugs did not seem to fit properly, and the flat earphone wire felt just slightly too noticeable when worn inside a shirt.
