Design and features
The tablet has a working area of 6.25 by 10 inches and is very thin (0.33 inches in thickness). The bottom has six rubber feet to prevent it from moving as you work on the graphic tablet. The EasyPen F610E features a very high resolution of 4000 lines per Inch. It also features a high 200 PPS (points per second) report rate. PPS is an indicator of a tabletís maximum data rate, i.e., how much data can be transferred between the pen, tablet and computer in one second. The higher the PPS is, the smoother the lines you draw will be.
The EasyPen F610E is all black. White lines mark the active area of the tablet. The eight programmable macro keys are located on the right of the tablet. The F610E also has a status LED on the left. The Genius logos located on the top of the LED. It comes with a 5-foot USB cable, which allows for plenty of freedom to place the tablet around your work area. The cable comes with a Velcro cable tie so you can organize your cable.
The pen has a shape that makes it comfortable to hold and use along with a stylish appearance. We could easily grip its slim shape. The pen features two buttons, which work just like a regular mouseís left and right click buttons. In order to start working with the pen you must insert one AAA battery. That is easy: Just unscrew the top part, insert the battery, and screw the top part back on.
Even with the battery inserted into the pen, it felt comfortable to hold. In fact, it felt and worked like a real pen as we started to draw and write with it. You can easily remove the pen tip using the tip removal tool. Here is how. Grab the tip using the tool and pull it out. To insert a new tip, push the new tip into the top of the pen and then push it down. The EasyPen F610Eincludes two extra pen tip refills in the package.
The pen features 2048 levels of pressure. So when you put more pressure, the lines you draw will be thicker, just as if you had drawn with a real pen.
The penholder comes in two different parts: clear on the outside and rubber on the inside. The rubber part is heavy and it is able to hold the pen into place without any problem.
