Review of the Element Case Vapor Pro ELITE for iPhone 4
Element Vapor Pro ELITE cases, made in the USA, were launched in June 2012. The Element Vapor Pro Nickel/Cream case is one of the most expensive iPhone cases, with a price tag of $179. The high cost comes from its quality materials, which make this iPhone case one of the most beautiful we have reviewed.
Element Case Vapor Pro ELITE comes in four different finishes: Nickel/Brown, Nickel/Cream, Black/Gold, and Frost/White. We reviewed the Nickel/Cream version, which features aluminum frame with nickel coating. It sports a gold plated power button and a Chechen wood RF insert for better reception.
What is in the box?
The cream and nickel version of the Element Case comes with a cream-colored genuine leather back plate, a back plate tack sheet, a matching leather-colored ear protector, the case itself, a screen protector with a microfiber cloth and insulation card for the front, a pouch and a screwdriver, a booklet from Element, and an Element case sticker. Depending on the package you buy, the box contents might differ.
Design and features
The case has an aluminum frame with a nickel coating. The RF Bridge, which covers the iPhone 4s antenna band, is made from real Chechen wood. The back plate has three cutouts. The Element Case Vapor Pro ELITE has gold screws and a gold Home button as well.
The back plate is removable. Element has added a component to this new type of case: the back plate tack sheet. This is where you can place your back plate if you choose to remove and store it for later use. You can peel it off and stick it on to the surface of back plate.
The leather colored earpiece goes at the top of the phone. Generally, we choose not to install the bundled earpiece of element cases because, they dont add much functionality or beauty. But the earpiece that comes bundled with Pro ELITE looked temptingly gorgeous and comfortable that we gave it a shot. The earpiece provides a soft cushion that rests against the ear. Also, It looked just about the most attractive as an earpiece can look. Very appealing.
You can use the included pouch to carry the Vapor Pro Elite and the items that go along with it. It has the screwdriver that you will use to install the case. The screwdriver comes with two extra screws that match the gold screws on the case. You can unscrew the screwdriver to reveal the gasket and the blade of screwdriver. You can keep this tool on your key chain.
Like other Element cases, the Vapor Pro Elite has a slight ridge for protecting the display of your phone. The cream-colored leather back plate on the back is attractive, and the nickel coated aluminum frame looks gorgeous. The nickel literally sparkled, and the case felt solid and well made. The cream and nickel color scheme is a good choice for a white iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S. When the iPhone was in the Element Vapor Pro Elite case, its reception, GPS, and Wi-Fi signals remained strong. The RF Bridge may have even enhanced the reception a bit.
If you prefer protection to beauty, then Element Vapor Pro ELITE case may not be the perfect choice for you. Apart from giving basic protection, and adding beauty to your iPhone, this case practically improves iPhone 4s Wi-Fi reception. We recommend Element Vapor Pro ELITE to any iPhone users who are careful enough not to spill water on their phones.
