Bosch Nexxt 700 Washer

Bosch Nexxt Spin and Cycling

Cycle Programs and Spin Speeds

The Nexxt washer lets you choose from several cycle options to handle all types of garments: Regular Cotton (with a temp boost temperature of 150F), Permanent Press, Quick Mix, Active Wear, Delicates, Hand Wash, Wool and Sanitary. Maximum spin speeds for laundry cycles range from 400 revolutions per minute (for Hand Wash and Soak programs) to 1200 (for Regular/Cotton, XXTRASANITARY and Spin programs).

In the Regular/Cotton, XXTRASANITARY and Spin programs, the fabrics are spun at the maximum possible spin speed. However, in the Permanent press, Wool, Soak, Delicates/Silk, Hand Wash and AquaGuard programs, the washing machine spins at a lower spin speed for gentle care.

The XXTRA SANITARY program is designed to get rid of household bacterium while providing gentle treatment of fabrics. This feature is especially convenient for consumers who are susceptible to allergies. The machine's internal heating element heats the water to 167F-174F for approximately three minutes. Clothes remains soaked in hot water long enough to kill most common bacterium, yet without causing added wear and tear to the clothes. Thus, clothing remains intact, clean, and devoid of dust mite excrements and other pesky household scraps.

Although the Power Wash cycle and the Normal Wash cycle seem similar, they are quite different. The Heavy Duty option (used to be Power Wash but is now called Heavy duty on the 700 Series) is considered a "profile wash." With this option selected, the cycle starts with a cold fill, no matter what the final temperature of that cycle is. Then, as the wash phase progresses, the internal heater raises the water temperature to the highest level possible given the chosen cycle. The Bosch model is designed this way so that different enzymes in the detergent are activated and different stains are removed at varying temperatures.

In sum, cycle time varies depending on the cycle chosen, temperature and pressure of incoming water, water hardness, size of load, type of fabric, and distance of the unit from the drain.
